Wine Tasting/Class Etiquette
* Arrive on time or at least 10 minutes early.
* No cologne/perfumes/body sprays because it interferes with everyone's ability to smell the wine.
* No gum, mints, ice-cream, coffee at least 30 minutes before the tasting. Then eat some bland crackers or bread and some light cheeses before tasting the wines.
* Brush your teeth but follow the same rules as with mints or gum.
* "While tasting" smell the wine with light and short sniffs. DON'T try to inhale the wine through your nose by turning your nose into the extension of a shop-vac.
* Let the wine sit in your mouth a while before you swallow or spit, give all your sense time to examine the wine.
* Regardless of what your mother says it is ok to spit the wine out into the spit buckets
* Never rinse your glass with water ONLY WINE. Water dilutes wine. Rinse your glass with a neutral wine or just the next wine.
* Try everything! with thousands of varietals and millions of blends TRY them all! You may have been missing your favorite wine all your life because you just haven't tried it yet.

Class Information:
All classes are held in the store. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to ensure a timely start to the class.

Classes include sample food pairing with the wines. All classes are priced per person, per class or you can get a 10% discount per series of four classes, per person. Reservation and advance payment are required.

Classes range from 10 to 14 participants and each space is sold in advance on a first come, first serve basis. If classes are full, we will be happy to add you to our waiting list. If possible, we will add additional classes during the week to accommodate the interest.

Cancellation Policies

If your cancellation is received 24 hours prior to your class, you may have the class fee transferred to another available class or you may receive a full refund.

If you cancel less than 24 hours prior to class or if you do not attend the class, we regret that your class fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. When last minute conflicts occur, please consider sending someone in your place.

Vino 100 Lakeway reserves the right to cancel classes. In that event, we will notify you and provide a full refund or credit.

If you can put 10~14 friends together, we will host a private wine tasting & class for you here in the store. You can pick the wines or a use a pre-selected theme. We can arrange for the catering of food and snacks that will pair with your wine selections or you can bring your own hors d'oeuvres and nibbles. It's your choice and it's your event. Let us manage all the details and the clean up. Book your date now as our calendar fills up quickly. You determine co$t per person based on wine selections. Seating Limited to 14 persons.
